The trip starts with a walk through the UNESCO world heritage site ?ingvellir National Park. Þingvellir is the original birthplace of the oldest existing parliament in the world and here the great tectonic plates of America and Europe meet and the rift valley is clearly visible. We next head on to the geothermal area in Haukadalur, the home of the one and only Geysir. There the ground gurgles, bubbles and super heated water bursts from the ground with enormous force. Next we stroll down to Gullfoss, the undisputed queen of Icelandic waterfalls.
Drumbó base camp is our following stop and there we have lunch before heading out for a great rafting trip on Hvítá river. Afterwards the sauna and hot tubs are at hand for the group before entering the road again.

Includes pick up from hotel and lunch buffet at Drumbó Base camp.
Duration of trip: 10 hours. Available: May to September (depending on weather). Age limit: 12 years. Bring with you: warm sweater, bathing suit, change of clothing and a towel. No experience of rafting required.
